Description
Hyatt Place Dubai/Wasl District is looking for a Hotel Host – Engineering (HVAC) to maintain heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems throughout the property. The role supports guest comfort and reliable hotel operations by carrying out preventive maintenance, diagnosing faults and responding to service requests. The technician will also help monitor equipment performance and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance on HVAC equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation and exhaust systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complaints related to room temperature, airflow and cooling performance.
- Inspect and repair components such as belts, motors, filters, thermostats, controls and pumps.
- Monitor chilled-water systems and record equipment performance, faults and corrective actions.
- Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of new HVAC equipment when required.
- Follow safe refrigerant-handling practices, use protective equipment and comply with fire and workplace-safety procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and keep guest disruption to a minimum during maintenance.
Requirements
- Two to five years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems and BMS is advantageous.
- Good troubleshooting, record keeping and customer-service skills.
Qualifications and Skills
A diploma, ITI or trade certificate in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering is expected. Hotel or hospitality experience is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable responding to urgent failures and supporting other engineering disciplines when needed.
