Where Air Arabia hires
The group operates from six hubs: Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, Casablanca in Morocco, Alexandria in Egypt, and Karachi in Pakistan. Those bases run through separate operating companies, so the employer on your contract depends on the location.
- Sharjah, UAE: headquarters and main hub, with the widest range of roles.
- Abu Dhabi, UAE: cabin crew roles are advertised for Sharjah and Abu Dhabi together.
- Ras Al Khaimah, UAE: a secondary hub that operates alongside the Sharjah network.
- Morocco: Air Arabia Maroc posts its own cabin crew vacancies.
- Egypt: Air Arabia Egypt is based in Alexandria and has hired pilots in Cairo.
- Pakistan: Fly Jinnah, Air Arabia’s Pakistan-based joint venture, hires pilots for Karachi and other hubs.
- Saudi Arabia (Dammam): pilot and cabin crew roles are advertised through Air Arabia DMM LLC.
How the hiring process works
- Apply online through Air Arabia’s official careers portal for the specific role and base.
- Shortlisting. Only matching profiles are contacted.
- Assessment day. Cabin crew assessment days are typically by invitation only. The steps are an online application, an assessment day, an interview, and then training in Sharjah.
- Interview and medical checks. Pilot job ads state that candidates must pass a technical and psychometric assessment and a medical fitness check.
- Training. Cabin crew complete 6–8 weeks of training covering safety, emergency procedures, first aid, customer service and cultural awareness.
Cabin crew requirements
The figures below come from recent Air Arabia listings and vary by drive:
- Age (Sharjah and Abu Dhabi listing): 20 to 26 for candidates without cabin crew experience, and up to 33 for experienced crew.
- Age (Dammam drive): 21 to 29 for non-experienced crew and a maximum of 33 for experienced crew.
- Appearance and health: no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the uniform, and medical and physical fitness for the role.
- Experience: previous cabin crew or customer-service experience in airlines, aviation or hospitality counts as an advantage, as does an active cabin crew licence. Fresh graduates can apply for some drives.
Pilot requirements
Pilot requirements depend heavily on the base, the aircraft and the contract:
- Captains (recent drives): A320 type rating, 4,000+ total hours, 800+ A320 hours, ICAO ATPL, Class 1 medical, and a maximum age of 60.
- First Officers (Saudi and Pakistan postings): 500–750 hours on the A320, a preferred ATPL, a Class 1 medical, and a type rating, with a maximum age of 50.
- First Officers (Vietnam drive): 1,500 hours on the A320 family, a valid type rating, a Class 1 medical, English fluency level 4 or better, and a maximum age of 45.
- Egypt non-rated First Officers: a minimum of 1,500 flying hours, with A320 experience preferred.
Always read the exact numbers in the live job ad. The same job title can carry different thresholds in different countries.
Walk-in days and recruitment events
Air Arabia regularly runs in-person recruitment drives outside the UAE. Recent examples:
- Pilot assessment events in São Paulo and Bogotá in September 2025.
- A320 First Officer selection events in Argentina and Chile in March 2026.
- A cabin crew drive in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, announced in November 2025.
- Cabin crew drives have also been listed for Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and the Czech Republic.
Drives are announced on Air Arabia’s careers portal and LinkedIn page, and the venue is often shared only a few days before. Apply through the posted ad first, because attendance is usually by invitation or pre-registration.
Salary ranges (unofficial estimates)
Air Arabia does not publish pay scales, and third-party estimates conflict.
| Role | Estimated monthly pay | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cabin crew | roughly AED 5,000–8,500 | One guide puts it at AED 6,500–7,500. Another gives a much wider AED 5,000–13,000. |
| First Officer | about AED 20,199 plus hourly pay beyond 60 block hours | Reported for 15-month contracts tied to Fly Jinnah, plus AED 275 per hour over 60 block hours. |
| Captain | about AED 27,500–33,800 plus hourly pay beyond 60 block hours | One report gives AED 27,544 plus AED 404 per hour, another about AED 33,800 after training. |
Treat these as ballparks. Pay depends on contract type, base, experience and benefits such as per diems and accommodation.
