Description
Hyatt Place Dubai is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead maintenance operations across the Wasl District and Baniyas Square properties. The role is responsible for ensuring that building systems and facilities remain safe, reliable and well maintained, supporting a comfortable guest experience and efficient hotel operation. The manager will guide the engineering team, plan maintenance activity and coordinate projects, contractors and resources across both locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team and coordinate preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance across both properties.
- Develop maintenance plans, monitor equipment condition and make sure work orders are completed and documented.
- Oversee building services, utilities and hotel facilities, escalating major faults and planning appropriate corrective action.
- Manage contractor activity, work quality, access arrangements and compliance with safety requirements.
- Support budget planning, control maintenance expenditure and monitor the use of parts, tools and resources.
- Coordinate with hotel management and other departments to plan projects while minimizing guest disruption.
- Maintain required records and promote safe working practices, training and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and hotel engineering operations.
- Experience coordinating technicians, contractors and maintenance priorities.
- Good planning, communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond calmly to urgent faults.
Qualifications and Skills
A relevant engineering or technical qualification is preferred. Experience with maintenance planning, building systems, vendor coordination and workplace health and safety will be valuable. Candidates should be organized, service-focused and comfortable supporting more than one property.
