Job Overview

Al Majid Group is recruiting for the Material Engineer position in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity supports the group’s fit-out, joinery, construction or technical operations and is suited to a professional with relevant industry experience. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate effectively with internal teams, project stakeholders, suppliers and site personnel while maintaining quality, safety, programme and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project material requirements and technical specifications.
• Prepare material submittals, technical data sheets and samples for approval.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams on compliant materials.
• Evaluate material alternatives for technical suitability and cost efficiency.
• Track approvals, delivery schedules and material availability.
• Inspect materials received against approved specifications.
• Coordinate with factory and site teams on material application.
• Maintain material records and support resolution of technical material issues.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, materials, mechanical or related engineering.
• Relevant construction, fit-out or joinery materials experience.
• Strong understanding of specifications, samples and supplier documentation.
• Good analytical, coordination and reporting skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be organized, technically capable and comfortable working in a project-driven environment. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules and quality standards. UAE or GCC construction experience may be advantageous depending on the role.
