Graduate Trainee – Engineering & Science (UAE Nationals)

A graduate programme for UAE Nationals with academic backgrounds in engineering, science and related technical disciplines. Trainees gain practical experience, develop workplace skills and are assessed for possible future opportunities while learning how technical teams support energy operations. Programme completion is not a guarantee of permanent employment. This full-time opportunity is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with duties and stakeholder interfaces shaped by the assigned function and asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in structured on-the-job training and assigned activities that connect academic learning with workplace practice.
• Support engineering, science or technical teams with supervised tasks, research, documentation and problem-solving activities.
• Complete required learning modules, entry assessments, interviews and performance reviews throughout the programme.
• Build professional habits through collaboration, safety awareness, accurate record keeping and regular feedback.
• Demonstrate readiness to learn and adapt to the standards and expectations of a large energy organisation.

Requirements and Qualifications

• This programme is reserved for UAE Nationals.
• Relevant fields include petroleum, chemical, mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial, marine, safety, fire protection and structural engineering; geoscience, geology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, sustainability, energy science, mathematics and statistics are also relevant.
• Applicants must meet medical fitness requirements and complete all prescribed assessments and interviews.
• Government clearance and completion of national service are required unless the candidate is exempt under UAE law.
