Waiter/ess – Al Samar Lobby Lounge – Jumeirah Mina Al Salam

Al Samar Lobby Lounge at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam is seeking a Waiter/ess to provide thoughtful service in a refined lounge setting. The role involves welcoming and seating guests, explaining menus, accurately processing orders and payments, and maintaining excellent presentation. Candidates should enjoy guest interaction and be able to coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar and front-of-house colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, explain menu choices and daily specials, and provide recommendations suited to their preferences.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate dietary needs or special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve items promptly and maintain a clean, well-presented section throughout the guest visit.
• Use the MICROS point-of-sale system to manage bills and process cash, card and other approved payment methods accurately.
• Follow local requirements for responsible beverage service and verify guest identification when required.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve routine concerns quickly and notify a supervisor when additional assistance is needed.
• Support team operations during busy service periods while maintaining the lounge’s service, hygiene and presentation standards.

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Hospitality is expected or preferred for this role.
• One to two years of guest-service experience in a five-star hotel is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera Cloud is beneficial, alongside familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems.
• Candidates should be comfortable in a multicultural work environment and ready to work shifts.
