Qatar Duty Free is recruiting Junior Baristas for its food and beverage operations at Hamad International Airport. The position supports beverage preparation and front-of-house service while building practical skills in recipes, customer interaction, hygiene and stock handling. Junior Baristas work with experienced colleagues to maintain a welcoming, clean and efficient service area.
Airport hospitality brings changing demand and guests from many backgrounds. Professional presentation, hygiene, courteous communication and support for colleagues help maintain a positive and consistent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing hot and cold drinks according to recipes and instructions from senior baristas.
- Welcome customers, take orders and help answer basic questions about menu items.
- Keep beverage counters, tools, utensils and work surfaces clean throughout service.
- Support order entry and payment handling according to training and local procedures.
- Rotate supplies, check product freshness and report low stock or equipment concerns.
- Follow food-safety rules and learn the service standards expected in a busy airport outlet.
Requirements
- Relevant school-level education and an interest in beverage preparation or hospitality are suitable for a junior role.
- Customer-service, barista or food-service experience is helpful but the role focuses on developing capability.
- Candidates should communicate clearly in English, follow instructions and work well with a team.
- Reliability, neat presentation and willingness to work shifts are important.
