Description
Qatar Duty Free is recruiting a Hostess for its food and beverage operations at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The role welcomes arriving guests, creates a positive first impression and coordinates seating and reservations so that restaurant service remains organised. The hostess also helps guests with questions and works with service and kitchen teams to support a smooth dining experience.
Airport hospitality brings changing demand and guests from many backgrounds. Professional presentation, hygiene, courteous communication and support for colleagues help maintain a positive and consistent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome, greet and seat guests warmly and present menus in a professional manner.
- Manage reservations, keep track of available tables and communicate realistic waiting times.
- Coordinate guest arrivals with service associates and kitchen staff to support timely preparation.
- Keep the reception and dining areas presentable and check that menus and booking information are current.
- Answer telephone calls and guest questions about the restaurant, menu and airport facilities.
- Collect guest feedback, report recurring concerns and maintain grooming, hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
- High-school qualification and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous hostess or restaurant-service experience is preferred.
- Candidates should listen carefully, respond to demanding guest needs and remain composed during busy service periods.
- The role requires teamwork, flexibility and the ability to stand for extended periods.
