Senior Officer – Flight Data Monitoring

flydubai is looking for a Senior Officer - Flight Data Monitoring to support the identification and mitigation of operational hazards through the collection, processing and analysis of aircraft flight data. The position contributes to the airline's safety-management activities by monitoring operational trends, supporting investigations, maintaining safety applications and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor flight data to identify instances where operations do not conform to applicable requirements, standards and procedures.
• Support effective operation of the Flight Data Monitoring system and coordinate resolution of system issues.
• Generate FDM trend-analysis reports and contribute to safety communications and newsletters.
• Analyze flight data to identify, filter and distribute gaps, events or issues for review.
• Recommend improvements to processes and policies to strengthen FDM reporting and analytics.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve FDM-related matters and implement updates.
• Participate in flight replays and crew briefings for FDM-related events and provide technical findings and recommendations.
• Support safety investigations with relevant flight-data summaries, event information and trend analysis.
• Collate safety-performance data for review by Safety Review Board and Safety Action Group meetings.
• Act as system administrator for assigned safety applications, including FDM and Safety Management System platforms.
• Maintain user access, system records and operational data accurately and securely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related discipline.
• Relevant Flight Data Monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of the GE FDM system.
• Typically 5–7 years of experience with the required qualification, or 7–9 years where an applicable qualification is not held.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and accountability skills.
