Manager – Freighter Planning

flydubai is seeking a Manager - Freighter Planning to manage and optimize the airline's freighter operation through network scheduling, capacity planning and aircraft-utilization strategies. The role supports cargo growth by balancing commercial demand with operational capability, regulatory requirements and long-term business objectives. It also requires close coordination with Flight Operations, Engineering and Ground Handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term freighter network plans.
• Optimize aircraft deployment, rotations and block-hour utilization against business objectives.
• Coordinate planned rotations and schedules with Flight Operations, Engineering and Ground Handling teams.
• Ensure proposed schedules are operationally viable and compliant with technical and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare management reports covering freighter performance, cost analysis, route profitability and operational efficiency.
• Analyze cargo capacity, demand and utilization to support effective network decisions.
• Support continuous improvement of freighter planning processes, reliability and resource utilization.
• Contribute to entry-into-service planning and related freighter operational readiness activities.
• Assess ad-hoc and charter opportunities in coordination with relevant commercial and operational teams.
• Monitor planning assumptions and adjust capacity strategies as market and operational conditions change.
• Provide analytical input to senior management on freighter deployment and network performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in airline cargo or freighter planning.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of airline network planning, capacity management and aircraft utilization.
• Experience analyzing operational performance, cost and route economics.
• Fluent English.
• Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, communication and decision-making abilities.
