Senior Officer – Flight Data Monitoring

flydubai is seeking a Senior Officer - Flight Data Monitoring to support aviation safety through the collection, analysis and interpretation of aircraft operational data. The position helps identify operational trends, underlying hazards and areas of risk by monitoring flight data against established requirements and procedures. The role also contributes to safety reporting, investigations, crew briefings and the effective administration of safety applications, making it suitable for an aviation professional with strong analytical and FDM experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor flight data to identify deviations from applicable operational requirements, standards and procedures.
• Support reliable operation of the Flight Data Monitoring system and coordinate resolution of technical or data-related issues.
• Produce timely FDM trend analysis and contribute to safety communications and newsletters.
• Analyse aircraft data to identify, filter and communicate gaps, events, anomalies and emerging trends.
• Recommend improvements to FDM processes, policies, reporting methods and analytical practices.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve FDM issues and implement system or process updates.
• Participate in flight replay sessions and provide flight crew with relevant guidance and recommendations.
• Support safety investigations with flight-data summaries, key events, trends and parameter analysis.
• Compile safety performance information for review by Safety Review Board and Safety Action Group meetings.
• Administer assigned safety applications, including FDM and Safety Management System platforms, while maintaining user access and records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related discipline.
• Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Demonstrated Flight Data Monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of the GE FDM system.
• Approximately 5-7 years of experience with the required qualification, or relevant equivalent experience where applicable.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, accountability and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of aviation safety processes, operational data and safety management practices.
