Description
flydubai is seeking a Manager - Technology Procurement to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across key technology categories. The position is responsible for balancing commercial value, supplier performance, risk, governance and business requirements across software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecom and technology services. The successful candidate will work closely with Technology, Information Security, Finance and Legal teams to deliver competitive sourcing outcomes and ensure technology spend supports the airline's broader technology roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies covering SaaS, cloud consumption, on-premise infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT professional services and telecom.
- Lead RFPs, RFQs, sourcing exercises and contract negotiations with technology vendors, cloud providers, managed-service partners and OEMs.
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking and spend analysis to identify savings and value opportunities.
- Evaluate software licensing models, cloud consumption, subscription structures and hardware refresh requirements.
- Partner with Technology, Enterprise Information Security, Finance and Legal teams to align sourcing with roadmaps and risk frameworks.
- Promote supplier consolidation, best-practice sourcing and value-based procurement decisions among senior stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional sourcing committees and governance reviews.
- Manage the full vendor contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, SLAs, KPIs and dispute resolution.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews, risk assessments and compliance checks, including data-processing considerations.
- Monitor technology budgets and deliver measurable savings, cost avoidance and return on investment.
- Prepare procurement dashboards, management reports and presentations for leadership and governance forums.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in relevant functional categories.
- Experience with technology procurement and commercial negotiations.
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and SharePoint.
- CIPS certification is desirable.
- Fluent English and strong strategic thinking, business acumen, decision-making and stakeholder-management skills.
