Description
The IT Specialist – Projects supports the planning and delivery of technology initiatives that help business teams work more effectively. The role coordinates requirements, project activities, testing, documentation and communication across technical teams, users and suppliers. Strong organisation and follow-through are important for keeping project tasks visible and ensuring that system changes are introduced in a controlled way. The successful applicant should be organised, dependable and committed to following operating procedures while helping the team deliver reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning by tracking activities, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and outstanding actions.
- Gather business requirements and coordinate clarification between users, technical teams and external service providers.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, issue tracking and preparation for deployment or handover.
- Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, status reports and implementation records.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage changes, communicate timelines and support user readiness.
- Monitor project risks, delays and technical issues, escalating concerns with clear information and proposed next steps.
- Support post-implementation checks and ensure operational teams receive the information needed for ongoing support.
Requirements
- Experience supporting IT systems, project coordination or technology implementation is relevant.
- Strong planning and communication skills with the ability to manage several tasks at the same time.
- A structured approach to documentation, testing, issue follow-up and stakeholder updates.
- Ability to understand user needs and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Information technology, information systems, computing or project-related training is relevant to the role.
- Practical experience with IT project delivery or system rollouts is useful; specific minimum criteria were not confirmed.
