Description
The Senior Architectural Inspector monitors architectural construction work in Abu Dhabi to ensure that completed works match approved drawings, specifications, material requirements and quality standards. The role covers finishes, facade interfaces, internal spaces and other architectural elements, with regular site inspections and coordination with contractors and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect architectural works, finishes, materials and installation details against approved drawings and specifications.
- Review material submissions, samples, mock-ups and shop drawings as required.
- Monitor workmanship, tolerances, alignment and finishing quality across site areas.
- Coordinate inspection requests and resolve technical or quality observations with contractors.
- Record defects and non-conformances and follow up corrective actions before acceptance.
- Prepare site reports and support project teams during handover and close-out inspections.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Architecture or a related construction discipline is relevant.
- Substantial experience in architectural site inspection or construction supervision is expected at senior level.
- The candidate should be able to interpret architectural drawings, specifications and material submittals.
- Knowledge of construction finishes, facade works and quality-control procedures is valuable.
- Strong observation, reporting and coordination skills are required.
Skills and Competencies
This position requires careful inspection, knowledge of architectural materials and a consistent focus on quality. The inspector should communicate findings clearly, maintain accurate records and work constructively with site teams. Good judgement, organisation and an understanding of local construction practices will be important.
