Description
The Project Director – Site provides senior leadership for construction delivery in Dubai. The role is responsible for bringing project objectives, technical execution, commercial controls and stakeholder requirements together. It directs project teams, monitors performance and ensures that construction activities are managed in a disciplined manner from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall site delivery and coordinate engineering, construction, commercial and support teams.
- Set project priorities, review programme performance and address risks affecting cost, time or quality.
- Oversee contractors, consultants and suppliers and maintain effective client communication.
- Review major construction methodologies, technical submissions and project control reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, contract and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership on issue resolution, progress reporting, resource planning and project close-out.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Qualification requirement: Relevant Engineering or Construction Management qualification.
- A relevant engineering or construction-management qualification is appropriate for a project director.
- Extensive senior experience leading large construction or infrastructure projects is expected.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, contracts, commercial performance and construction delivery is important.
- The candidate should have experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, negotiation and communication skills are required.
Skills and Competencies
The position requires strategic oversight combined with practical site leadership. The director should be commercially aware, confident managing complex relationships and able to make timely decisions when priorities compete. Strong governance, risk management, reporting and team-development skills will support consistent project performance.
