Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer

The Medium Voltage Electrical Engineer supports the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. The role helps deliver reliable power infrastructure by ensuring engineering work follows approved specifications, applicable standards, and safe working practices. The position is based in UAE unless otherwise confirmed during recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, technical specifications, load data, and equipment submittals.
• Support design and selection of switchgear, transformers, protection devices, cables, and distribution equipment.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, project teams, and site personnel to resolve technical issues and maintain progress.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, test documentation, and recommendations for system improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is normally required, with experience in power distribution or medium-voltage systems preferred. Knowledge of protection and control, electrical safety, testing procedures, technical standards, and engineering software is valuable. Strong analytical skills and careful documentation are essential.
