Description
Qatar Duty Free is recruiting a Barista for its food and beverage outlets at Hamad International Airport in Doha. The role prepares hot and cold beverages to brand recipes, engages with customers, processes orders and payments, and maintains food-safety, product-quality and hygiene controls. It also supports stock rotation and menu development.
Airport hospitality brings changing demand and guests from many backgrounds. Professional presentation, hygiene, courteous communication and support for colleagues help maintain a positive and consistent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers, learn their preferences and provide friendly, personalised beverage service.
- Prepare hot and cold drinks to approved recipes and presentation standards.
- Explain coffee, tea and beverage options, answer questions and support menu development with new ideas.
- Enter orders into the POS system, process payments accurately and provide correct change.
- Monitor expiry dates, temperatures and stock levels, applying first-in, first-out rotation.
- Keep the bar and equipment clean, handle customer complaints professionally and promote suitable additional items.
Requirements
- High-school qualification and 2–3 years in a similar barista role, preferably in a luxury brand or five-star hotel.
- Strong English communication is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Knowledge of loose-leaf tea, coffee art and a portfolio of beverage-design work are listed.
- Candidates should understand food safety, stock control, customer service and basic commercial targets.
