Senior Barista

Paramount Hotel Dubai is looking for a Senior Barista to deliver consistently high-quality coffee and beverage experiences while supporting the wider Food & Beverage operation. The role combines hands-on beverage preparation with guest engagement, product knowledge, team support and day-to-day bar standards. The successful candidate will prepare espresso and specialty drinks, contribute ideas for signature beverages, respond to guest preferences and concerns, coach junior baristas, maintain equipment and assist with stock and waste control. The position requires someone who can remain organised and positive during busy service while taking the lead when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee, espresso and specialty beverages to consistent quality, taste and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests, understand preferences and recommend suitable beverages.
• Coach junior baristas on preparation techniques, service standards and product knowledge.
• Maintain espresso machines, grinders and beverage equipment in clean and working condition.
• Support stock control for coffee, milk, syrups and other supplies.
• Monitor waste and contribute to efficiency and loss-reduction initiatives.
• Support opening and closing procedures and maintain required records.
• Coordinate closely with the wider F&B team for smooth service.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of similar experience in a 5-star international hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation and beverage recipes.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of MICROS or a similar POS system.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• HACCP knowledge and upselling experience are advantages.
• Positive, organised and comfortable working under pressure.
