Duty Manager

Paramount Hotel Dubai is seeking a Duty Manager to act as the operational lead during assigned shifts and maintain exceptional guest service across the hotel. The role takes responsibility for daily hotel operations when Department Managers and Directors are unavailable and supports Front Stage teams in delivering personalised service. Responsibilities include VIP and corporate guest arrivals, guest feedback, service performance, cashiering, PM accounts, inventory, upselling and coordination with Revenue, Events and Group Sales. The Duty Manager will also support Night Manager responsibilities when required and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures. Candidates should have broad hotel and Front Office experience, strong OPERA PMS knowledge and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for hotel operations during assigned duty periods.
• Lead, coach and support Front Stage teams.
• Welcome VIP guests and key corporate clients personally when required.
• Monitor guest feedback, service performance and departmental KPIs.
• Maintain commercial awareness of cashiering, PM accounts, inventory and upselling.
• Coordinate with Revenue, Events, Group Sales and other departments.
• Drive guest engagement and relevant hotel upselling initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards and operating procedures.
• Support Night Manager duties when required.
• Resolve operational issues using sound judgement and effective communication.

Requirements

• Wide experience in hotel and Front Office management.
• 2+ years of Duty Manager experience in a 5-star hotel brand is desirable.
• Strong OPERA PMS and Front Stage operations knowledge.
• Experience managing VIP arrivals and guest engagement.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent English; Arabic, Russian, Chinese, French, Spanish or German is advantageous.
• Front Stage certification or relevant degree is preferred.
• Health and Safety certification is an advantage.
