Flight Operations Engineer

About the Role

We're hiring a Flight Operations Engineer to provide technical expertise across aircraft performance, weight and balance, the Minimum Equipment List, performance monitoring, Operations Manuals, fuel conservation, and operating cost optimisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess and action performance-related NOTAMs for operational accuracy and compliance
• Monitor and update the airport database to support performance calculations and regulatory requirements
• Assess flight operations engineering aspects of new airports, flagging potential constraints
• Design and validate engine-out procedures to optimise take-off and landing performance
• Provide specialised technical advice on all aspects of flight operations engineering
• Draft performance-related documentation, keeping updates and supporting material current
• Ensure flight operations engineering procedures stay compliant, optimised, and up to date
• Update Weight and Balance documents and the Departure Control System, including aircraft reweighs and new interior configurations
• Maintain and update the Minimum Equipment List (MEL)
• Provide analysis on aircraft performance for non-normal procedures and dispatch under MEL items
• Deliver aircraft performance, weight and balance, and Boeing OPT staff training
• Support fleet and route evaluations from a regulatory and performance perspective

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering (3+ years)
• Fluent English; other languages an advantage
• 7–9 years of experience in an airline or manufacturer Flight Operations Engineering role
• Experience with freighter weight & balance is preferred; Boeing 787 knowledge and experience is a plus
