Aircraft Mechanic – Workshop EMS (Electro Mechanical Shop)

Qatar Airways is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic for its Electro Mechanical Shop in Doha. The role supports component maintenance by completing assigned tasks in line with approved technical data, company standards and workshop procedures. It focuses on safe, reliable work, accurate task completion and effective support for components used in aircraft systems.

All work must remain within approved instructions and assigned authority. Accurate records, tool control, safe work practices and early escalation of defects help protect airworthiness, component traceability and workshop quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete assigned electro-mechanical component maintenance tasks within approved procedures and timeframes.
• Work on relevant shop components such as power distribution units, fans, external lights, linear or rotary actuators and generators when trained and assigned.
• Use technical instructions and approved tooling to inspect, repair or test components.
• Apply soldering and Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) practices where applicable to the assigned work.
• Maintain workshop safety, housekeeping, tool control and accurate maintenance records.
• Ask for guidance when a task is unfamiliar and report defects or non-conforming results promptly.

Requirements

• High school, vocational qualification or diploma with at least 3 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years.
• Aircraft-maintenance education, a basic ICAO Type II licence and relevant trade or OEM component training are listed qualifications.
• Practical experience in an electromechanical workshop is important; familiarity with soldering and EWIS is useful.
• Candidates should follow approved technical data and demonstrate careful, safety-focused work habits.
