Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic for the Paint Shop in Doha. The role performs assigned workshop tasks that support aircraft-component paint and finish work, following approved technical data, company procedures and safety requirements. The mechanic must work accurately, protect the quality of finished items and complete tasks within agreed shop timeframes.
All work must remain within approved instructions and assigned authority. Accurate records, tool control, safe work practices and early escalation of defects help protect airworthiness, component traceability and workshop quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out assigned paint-shop maintenance and finishing tasks using approved work instructions.
- Prepare tools, materials and work areas safely and keep the workshop organised.
- Check assigned items for condition and finish quality and report defects or non-conforming results.
- Follow manufacturing and maintenance instructions, including handling, safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate task records and control tools and materials.
- Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to complete work on schedule and meet shop standards.
Requirements
- High school, vocational qualification or diploma with at least 3 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years.
- Aircraft-maintenance or related technical training and recognised trade certificates are relevant.
