Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic for Cabin Base Maintenance in Doha. The role rectifies aircraft cabin defects and supports heavy or light cabin maintenance so the fleet continues to meet cabin-standard, operational and safety requirements. Work must follow approved technical data, company procedures and timeframes while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
All work must remain within approved instructions and assigned authority. Accurate records, tool control, safe work practices and early escalation of defects help protect airworthiness, component traceability and workshop quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete assigned cabin maintenance tasks using approved cabin standards, technical data and workshop procedures.
- Inspect, troubleshoot and rectify cabin defects within training and authorisation.
- Use suitable tools and equipment to repair or maintain cabin systems and fittings.
- Maintain workmanship quality and report defects or conditions requiring licensed-engineer review.
- Document work accurately and complete assigned tasks safely within planned maintenance timelines.
- Support team members and supervisors to maintain aircraft availability and cabin presentation standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of job-related experience is listed.
- Practical experience in a similar technical area and knowledge of heavy cabin and IFE maintenance fundamentals are relevant.
- Candidates should know how to select and use tools and determine when equipment requires maintenance.
- Good written and spoken English and the ability to work in a multicultural team are important.
