Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) for Light Maintenance in Doha. The engineer supports aircraft availability through electrical and avionics maintenance checks and defect rectification within authorised privileges. The position requires technical confidence, knowledge of air legislation and effective coordination with colleagues in a time-sensitive line-maintenance environment.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver B2 maintenance activities that support aircraft checks and flight operations.
- Plan assigned work and select appropriate tools and equipment.
- Rectify avionics and electrical defects within approved scope and follow technical manuals and procedures.
- Ensure maintenance work is properly recorded and meets regulatory and company requirements.
- Guide technicians as appropriate, prioritise tasks and maintain acceptable workmanship standards.
- Report technical issues and propose improvements where current working practices can be strengthened.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of job-related experience is listed.
- An aircraft-maintenance diploma, trade qualification or aircraft-engineering degree is required.
- The role requires a full Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
- Knowledge of air legislation, equipment operation, problem-solving and team leadership is expected.
