Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer for Light Maintenance with an In-Flight Entertainment focus in Doha. The role carries out assigned maintenance within licence authority to support flight operations and maintain reliable IFE service. It requires efficient work planning, correct use of tools and full compliance with approved procedures and maintenance records.
Engineering decisions must follow approved documentation and licence authority. Clear records, safe task execution and early communication of technical risks help maintain airworthiness, quality and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan IFE-related maintenance activities and use appropriate tools within Qatar Airways procedures.
- Troubleshoot and rectify IFE defects within approved privileges and technical scope.
- Carry out work using approved maintenance data and document tasks completely.
- Review procedures and highlight opportunities to make processes clearer and more effective.
- Coordinate with mechanics and other engineers to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain quality, safety and operational standards while supporting aircraft availability.
Requirements
- A diploma in aircraft maintenance, a relevant trade or vocational qualification, or an aircraft-engineering degree.
- The role requires a full Qatar Airways main-fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
- Relevant aircraft certifying experience is expected; comparable internal criteria list at least 3 years.
- Candidates should be able to select tools, solve technical problems and control equipment or systems.
