Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic for Light Maintenance in Doha. The position supports aircraft operating schedules by carrying out transit, daily, weekly and approved A-check tasks under supervision. All work must follow approved maintenance data, company processes and aviation regulations to help aircraft return to service safely and on time.
All work must remain within approved instructions and assigned authority. Accurate records, tool control, safe work practices and early escalation of defects help protect airworthiness, component traceability and workshop quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transit, daily and weekly aircraft checks in accordance with approved maintenance data.
- Support A-check activities within the approved work scope and assigned authorisation.
- Inspect aircraft systems and components, report defects and assist with corrective maintenance.
- Use the appropriate tools and equipment and follow safe work practices at every stage.
- Record completed work clearly and notify supervisors of defects, delays or issues needing technical review.
- Coordinate with licensed engineers and maintenance teams to support aircraft availability and schedule targets.
Requirements
- High-school, vocational qualification or diploma with at least 3 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years.
- Aircraft-maintenance education or an aviation engineering diploma is relevant.
- A basic ICAO type licence and practical experience repairing machines or systems using correct tooling are listed for the role.
- Candidates should be comfortable working to strict procedures and time-sensitive operational needs.
