Aircraft Mechanic – Decal (Cabin Workshops)

Qatar Airways is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic specialising in decal work for its Cabin Workshops in Doha. The role performs assigned workshop tasks in accordance with approved technical data, company standards and safety procedures. It supports cabin product readiness by completing decal-related work accurately, consistently and within agreed workshop timeframes.

All work must remain within approved instructions and assigned authority. Accurate records, tool control, safe work practices and early escalation of defects help protect airworthiness, component traceability and workshop quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete decal workshop tasks using approved technical instructions, drawings and applicable maintenance data.
• Inspect assigned items and surfaces before and after work to identify damage, defects or finish issues.
• Prepare work areas, tools and materials so that tasks can be completed safely and efficiently.
• Follow workshop procedures and applicable quality requirements, escalating unclear instructions or non-conforming results.
• Maintain accurate work records and keep tools, equipment and workspaces in suitable condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors and colleagues to meet production targets without lowering workmanship standards.

Requirements

• A relevant high-school, vocational or diploma qualification with practical technical experience is expected.
• Aircraft maintenance or related workshop training is beneficial; the employer may require recognised trade certificates and basic aviation licensing.
• Candidates should understand technical instructions, follow safety requirements and show strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work within assigned timeframes and cooperate with a technical team is important.
