Senior Assistant Accountant

Emirates Flight Catering is hiring a Senior Assistant Accountant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role supports the organisation's high-volume aviation catering, hospitality, technology, engineering, finance, HR or operational environment, depending on the function. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver dependable results, follow established standards and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. The position combines day-to-day execution with attention to quality, safety, service, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate and reliable financial records.
• Prepare cost, budget and management reports and support stakeholders with timely financial information.
• Process finance queries, coordinate investigations and close requests within agreed service expectations.
• Use advanced Excel and ERP finance modules to analyse transactions, trends and process performance.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and cost savings and support implementation of agreed changes.
• Apply appropriate bookkeeping, VAT and internal-control practices across assigned finance activities.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Commerce or equivalent
• Experience: 4+ Years finance experience
• Core skills: Accounting, reconciliation, advanced Excel, ERP finance modules, VAT, reporting, process improvement
• Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and teamwork skills are expected, together with the ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Candidates should be comfortable following company policies, quality procedures, safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
