Description
The Project Engineer – Marine supports planning, execution and coordination of marine EPC construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role connects engineering, procurement, subcontractor management and site construction, helping ensure that complex marine works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate marine works such as piling, dredging, reclamation, quay walls, jetties and breakwaters.
- Review and prepare technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements and material approvals.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Monitor site progress, resource needs, technical issues and construction interfaces.
- Support project controls, quality assurance, HSE requirements and commercial reporting.
- Prepare progress information and help resolve issues that could affect cost, time or quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is suitable for marine project engineering.
- Relevant experience in marine construction or EPC project delivery is valuable.
- Experience preparing technical submittals, method statements and material approvals is important.
- Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, QA/QC, HSE and commercial construction matters is beneficial.
- Familiarity with FIDIC conditions, UAE/GCC marine works and a valid UAE driving licence are advantages.
Skills and Competencies
The position requires organisation, coordination and the ability to manage technical information across several workstreams. The engineer should communicate effectively with stakeholders, understand marine construction sequencing and maintain focus on safety, quality and programme. Project-management software and Microsoft Office skills are useful.
