Description
This UAE national role provides electrical field-service support for large rotating electrical machines and associated control equipment. The engineer helps install, commission, repair, maintain, and upgrade equipment used in demanding industrial and power applications. Assignments require safe field execution, practical troubleshooting, accurate technical reporting, and communication with customer teams across different service environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, inspection, repair, maintenance, and upgrade work on rotating electrical machines and connected controls.
- Investigate electrical or control faults and use drawings, specifications, and test information to guide corrective action.
- Coordinate site work with mechanical engineers, customer representatives, subcontractors, and internal field-service colleagues.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, service records, and technical reports for completed work.
- Explain equipment requirements and maintenance practices to customers and support service training where required.
- Follow company and customer health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures during local or overseas assignments.
- Raise equipment risks or schedule constraints promptly and support practical plans to return systems to service.
Requirements and Qualifications
- UAE national eligibility is specified for this opening.
- An accredited electrical or controls qualification, or relevant equivalent technical experience, is expected.
- Knowledge of electrical machines and control equipment; networking protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet, IEC 61850, or fibre are advantageous.
- Understanding of industrial HSE practices and readiness for field or overseas work when required.
- Ability to read technical drawings and solve problems independently while maintaining customer communication.
