Description
Analyse business processes and technology needs related to travel services, translating operational requirements into clear solution specifications. The role links business users with developers, application owners and support teams to help deliver reliable systems and resolve issues. It includes requirements gathering, process mapping, testing coordination, documentation and post-release improvement, with a focus on accuracy and the needs of travel or airline operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders to understand current workflows, pain points, business rules and desired system outcomes.
- Document requirements, functional specifications, process diagrams, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with developers, vendors and support teams to review solution options and clarify expected behaviour.
- Prepare and support test scenarios, user acceptance testing, defect triage and release readiness activities.
- Analyse reported incidents, identify recurring patterns and follow corrective actions through to resolution.
- Maintain current solution documentation and communicate changes to affected operational and technical teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrate structured analytical thinking and the ability to turn business needs into technical requirements.
- Communicate well with technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
- Be comfortable reviewing system behaviour, testing outcomes and process documentation.
- Travel, airline, reservations or distribution-system experience is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Relevant IT, computer science, business analysis or information systems education or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery, software testing and requirements-management practices is useful.
- Knowledge of travel-domain workflows or airline applications is an advantage.
