Description
The Senior Business / Financial Analyst – OT Programmes supports major operational technology transformation programmes through commercial and techno-economic analysis. The role develops business cases across multiple system domains, compares investment options and quantifies benefits and risks. It also connects individual initiatives to a long-term programme roadmap for utility or energy-sector systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business-case development across approximately 8 to 10 operational technology system domains.
- Prepare and review CAPEX, OPEX, total-cost-of-ownership and return-on-investment analysis.
- Evaluate requests for information and technical or commercial proposals.
- Assess benefits, implementation risks, assumptions and dependencies for proposed investments.
- Align approved initiatives with a ten-year programme roadmap and strategic delivery priorities.
- Present clear financial and business analysis to support investment and programme decisions.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Hold a degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics or a related discipline; an MBA is advantageous.
- Have at least 8 years of experience in techno-economic analysis for utility, energy or OT transformation projects.
- Understand investment appraisal, financial modelling and total-cost-of-ownership assessment.
- Be able to evaluate technical information and translate it into business and financial implications.
- Strong written communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills are important.
Skills and Competencies
The position requires structured analysis, financial modelling, business-case writing and an understanding of operational technology programmes. The analyst should be comfortable working with technical specialists and senior decision-makers, challenging assumptions and explaining complex options in clear commercial terms.
