Manager, Taxation (UAE National)

Job overview: Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a Manager, Taxation (UAE National) to join its banking team in the United Arab Emirates. Support the group tax strategy and manage assigned direct and indirect tax activities across the bank and relevant group entities. Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Tax in implementing the group tax strategy and annual tax plan.
• Manage assigned direct and indirect tax activities in line with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor tax developments and assess their operational and financial impact on the bank.
• Coordinate tax accounting, reporting, reconciliations and supporting documentation with relevant finance teams.
• Support tax audits, transformation projects and responses to tax-authority or internal requests.
• Maintain tax controls and provide clear status reporting, escalating material matters when required.

Requirements and qualifications

• This position is reserved for a UAE National.
• Relevant experience in taxation, tax accounting, finance or compliance within a corporate or financial-services environment is beneficial.
• Understanding of direct and indirect tax obligations, accounting and reporting is important.
• Demonstrated ability to organise work, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines.
• A professional approach, sound judgement and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality are important.
