Description
The VM Coordinator / Interior Designer supports visual presentation for the Homecentre concept across stores in Dubai. The role works with area visual-merchandising managers and store teams to deliver displays that follow concept standards and suit different store formats. It combines design tools, floor-plan understanding, sales analysis and seasonal planning to improve product presentation and keep the brand experience consistent.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with area visual-merchandising managers and store teams to implement displays that fit large, medium and small store formats.
- Review store layouts and identify merchandising changes, then schedule monthly activities with store management and area teams.
- Inspect stores for deviations from established VM standards and report actions needed to restore the intended presentation.
- Review sales and product movement to understand how merchandising choices affect store- and department-level performance.
- Work with marketing and territory VM teams on brand consistency, staff meetings, training recommendations and creative seasonal display concepts.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Have a graduate qualification, preferably in arts, visual merchandising or interior design, or a related diploma.
- Bring two to three years of relevant experience, including at least one year working in visual merchandising in a retail store.
- Understand visual-merchandising processes, consumer behaviour, fashion or home-retail trends and store floor plans.
- Have working experience with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, 3ds Max, AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Communicate effectively in English and the local language, coordinate multiple stores and follow through on implementation feedback.
Skills
Creativity, spatial awareness, attention to detail, sales orientation and software proficiency are essential for turning visual plans into practical store displays.
