Housekeeping Team Leader

The Housekeeping Team Leader helps supervise daily cleaning operations and supports the team in maintaining guest rooms and public areas. The role checks work quality, coordinates assignments and helps colleagues follow room presentation and hygiene standards. It is a hands-on position that contributes directly to guest comfort and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign daily tasks and coordinate room attendants and public-area colleagues.
• Inspect completed rooms and service areas against cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Provide coaching and practical support to colleagues during the shift.
• Report maintenance issues and coordinate follow-up with engineering and front office.
• Monitor linen, amenities and cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Respond to guest requests and support safe, efficient housekeeping operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hotel housekeeping experience and demonstrated ability to guide room attendants and maintain room and public-area standards.
• Team-leading or supervisory exposure is an advantage.
• Knowledge of room standards, cleaning procedures and workplace safety is important.
• Good communication and organisational skills are required.
