DP World – Maritime Solutions, Marine Manager, UAE Ports,Dubai

Lead the operational and technical management of Maritime Solutions activities across UAE ports, covering tugs, pilot boats and mooring operations. Based at Jebel Ali, the Marine Manager is responsible for fleet readiness, technical performance, vessel programmes, personnel capability, compliance, customer relationships and improvement initiatives. The role balances service quality and contractual delivery with safe, efficient and cost-effective use of marine assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tug, pilot-boat and mooring operations to meet contractual obligations and customer requirements.
• Ensure vessels are fit for purpose, available for service and maintained to required technical standards.
• Develop vessel programmes that optimize asset utilization, crewing and topside maintenance.
• Ensure marine personnel are appropriately trained, qualified and prepared for assigned duties.
• Monitor surveys, certification and regulatory requirements and maintain accurate compliance status.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with technical teams to maximize vessel uptime and improve maintenance quality.
• Coordinate dockings, new builds, modifications, conversions and marine engineering projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, employees, contractors and service providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service quality, safety and business performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, maritime studies, naval architecture, business or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing marine operations, vessels or port-service activities.
• Strong knowledge of tugs, pilot boats, mooring operations, vessel compliance and technical management.
• Demonstrated leadership, client-management and operational decision-making capability.
• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory requirements, maintenance, docking and marine project execution.
