Begin an engineering career through a structured graduate programme supporting major port equipment and asset-management activities at Jebel Ali. Participants gain practical exposure to equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, infrastructure projects, automation, asset integrity and technical systems. The programme is designed for engineering graduates who want hands-on experience in a high-volume operating environment and the opportunity to develop practical engineering judgement alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain practical exposure to quay cranes, RTGs, straddle carriers and other terminal equipment.
  • Support reliability investigations, breakdown analysis and root-cause improvement activities.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance planning and improvement of maintenance schedules.
  • Contribute to civil, infrastructure, berth-upgrade and terminal-development projects.
  • Learn how PLCs, sensors, automation and control systems support modern terminal operations.
  • Participate in asset inspections, integrity activities and HSE initiatives.
  • Use CMMS and technical systems to understand maintenance data and equipment performance.
  • Work with operations, engineering, HSE, procurement and external vendors on live assignments.
  • Develop problem-solving, communication, analytical and project-support skills through practical work.
  • Build an understanding of how engineering decisions influence safety, reliability, productivity and port performance.

Requirements

  • Recent engineering graduate or candidate meeting the programme's graduate eligibility requirements.
  • Relevant engineering degree, with strong academic and technical foundations.
  • Interest in mechanical, electrical, automation, reliability, asset management or infrastructure engineering.
  • Good analytical, communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • High learning agility, professional discipline and willingness to work in an active port environment.
