Description
Emirates Flight Catering is seeking an Engineer to support the safe, reliable operation of equipment and engineering assets in Dubai. The role involves responding to equipment breakdowns, investigating faults, coordinating repairs and maintaining preventive maintenance activities. The successful candidate will follow applicable safety and quality requirements and help reduce avoidable downtime through sound technical judgement and effective coordination. The successful applicant should be organised, dependable and committed to following operating procedures while helping the team deliver reliable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow safe working practices and applicable quality procedures to protect employees, equipment and operational assets.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose technical faults and identify suitable corrective actions within the area of responsibility.
- Troubleshoot more complex machine problems and assist junior technical colleagues when faults cannot be resolved initially.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance activities are completed and recorded as required.
- Coordinate the availability of tools, equipment and spare parts needed to complete repairs efficiently.
- Plan stock requirements and work activities to minimise equipment downtime and avoid unnecessary delays.
- Support junior engineering and technical staff, share updates during departmental briefings and flag resource needs to management.
Requirements
- UAE nationality is an eligibility requirement for this vacancy.
- A safety-focused approach and willingness to follow established engineering, quality and operating procedures.
- Practical fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills relevant to industrial equipment.
- Ability to coordinate with technicians, operational colleagues and managers to restore equipment safely and promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
- Engineering or technical training relevant to the equipment and maintenance environment is appropriate for the position.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical technical knowledge; a specific degree level or number of years was not confirmed.
