Description
Grand Hyatt Dubai is seeking an Engineering Technician to help maintain the equipment and facilities used across its waterpark. The position covers routine repairs and preventive maintenance for building services, fire and life-safety systems, water-based features, slides and pools. Because waterpark equipment operates in a guest environment, the technician must place safety first, respond quickly to faults and help keep downtime to a minimum.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on waterpark facilities, engineering equipment, water features, slides and pool-related systems.
- Inspect equipment and report defects or safety concerns before they affect guests or operations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent breakdowns, coordinating support when a specialist is required.
- Follow maintenance schedules and record completed work accurately in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Work in accordance with applicable water-safety requirements, local authority guidance and internal procedures.
- Coordinate with operations colleagues to plan access and repairs while protecting guests and team members.
- Maintain tools and work areas properly and follow safe isolation, housekeeping and protective-equipment practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on maintenance ability and a sound understanding of safe inspection and repair procedures.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to changing operational priorities.
- A responsible approach to equipment safety and accurate work documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
A trade certificate, diploma or equivalent technical training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or a related discipline is helpful. Experience with pools, waterpark equipment, pumps, building services or fire and life-safety systems is advantageous.
