Assistant Manager, Facilities, Atlantis The Royal

The Assistant Manager, Facilities oversees maintenance of kitchen, laundry and restaurant equipment as well as wider facilities and MEP systems. The position supports reliable resort operations by coordinating technicians, work orders and preventive maintenance while ensuring safety, documentation and audit readiness. The successful candidate will be technically knowledgeable, organized and able to manage team resources while working closely with kitchen operations and other departments. The position is based in Dubai, UAE, and offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional team focused on consistent service, quality and operational results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians and allocate resources so maintenance work and work orders are completed safely, efficiently and on schedule.
• Oversee planned preventive maintenance for kitchen and laundry equipment and maintain complete, auditable maintenance records.
• Coordinate inspection, repair and calibration of equipment, including refrigeration systems, filters, softeners and other relevant components.
• Monitor safety practices, PPE use, risk assessments and compliance with property requirements, HACCP and applicable standards.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory, track consumables and refrigerant usage, and ensure critical supplies are available for repairs.
• Coordinate with culinary teams, contractors and project stakeholders while escalating major technical or operational risks promptly.

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant facilities maintenance experience or an appropriate combination of education and practical experience is required.
• Knowledge of kitchen and laundry equipment, MEP systems, preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis is important.
• Experience with HACCP, ISO 22000 records, calibration documentation or audit preparation is useful.
• Leadership, planning, safety awareness and clear technical communication are essential.
• Candidates should be able to train colleagues and keep maintenance documentation accurate and current.
