Site Technician – Ready Mix

Carry out field quality-control testing of ready-mix concrete at construction sites. The technician checks that delivered concrete matches the approved mix design and project requirements, records test results, prepares samples for strength testing and communicates quality concerns to the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend concrete deliveries and complete required site quality-control checks.
• Verify delivery tickets, mix designation, batch time, quantity and delivery details.
• Perform fresh-concrete tests such as slump, temperature, unit weight/density and air content where required.
• Visually assess concrete consistency and workability.
• Prepare, label and handle concrete cubes or cylinders for compressive-strength testing.
• Record results accurately and report non-conforming results or delivery discrepancies.
• Coordinate with site teams, the batching plant and quality-control engineers.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in ready-mix concrete testing or construction-site quality control is relevant.
• Understanding of fresh concrete testing and sample handling procedures.
