Job Overview

Al Majid Group is recruiting for the Planning Engineer Fitout position in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity supports the group’s fit-out, joinery, construction or technical operations and is suited to a professional with relevant industry experience. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate effectively with internal teams, project stakeholders, suppliers and site personnel while maintaining quality, safety, programme and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for fit-out works.
• Set activity sequences, durations, dependencies and milestones.
• Collect progress data from site, factory, procurement and project teams.
• Update schedules and analyze planned versus actual performance.
• Identify critical activities, delays, risks and recovery requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead schedules and dashboards.
• Coordinate planning meetings and follow-up actions.
• Support resource planning and schedule recovery strategies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction or related discipline.
• Relevant planning experience in fit-out/interior projects.
• Strong Primavera P6 and/or MS Project skills.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication abilities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be organized, technically capable and comfortable working in a project-driven environment. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules and quality standards. UAE or GCC construction experience may be advantageous depending on the role.
