Assistant Manager – Production

The Assistant Manager - Production helps plan and manage daily ready-mix concrete plant operations in line with sales orders, pour schedules, approved mix designs, and delivery commitments. The role coordinates production with dispatch, logistics, sales, and quality-control teams so concrete reaches project sites on time and to specification. It also supports plant safety, equipment availability, manpower planning, cost control, and performance reporting, with the ability to deputise for the Production or Plant Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily production against order volumes, approved mix designs, delivery windows, and changing project requirements.
• Oversee batching plant activity and coordinate truck mixers, pumps, dispatch, logistics, sales, and quality-control resources.
• Manage continuous, night, and special pours, including hot-weather concreting and chilled-water or specialised mix arrangements.
• Monitor downtime, plant readiness, production quality, housekeeping, and the timely resolution of operational problems.
• Enforce PPE, safe systems of work, traffic management, and environmental compliance at the plant.
• Lead production employees, arrange shifts, review KPIs, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and cost analysis.

Requirements

• Have substantial ready-mix concrete production experience, including three to five years in a supervisory or assistant-manager role.
• Understand batching plant controls, concrete technology, mix designs, and delivery coordination.
• Be familiar with applicable UAE/GCC specifications and hot-weather concreting requirements.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred; regional ready-mix experience is strongly advantageous.

Qualifications and Skills

• Operational planning, people leadership, problem-solving, and confident coordination across multiple teams.
• Working knowledge of batching systems and relevant plant equipment, with brands such as Liebherr, Elkon, SIMEM, or MEKA beneficial.
• Ability to analyse quality, production, downtime, and cost information and report clearly to management.
• Commitment to quality systems, environmental controls, and occupational health and safety.

Employment Details

This full-time position is based in Dubai and may require shift planning around concrete delivery schedules, including night or special pours. The successful candidate should be hands-on, responsive to changing priorities, and able to maintain consistent production performance without compromising safety or quality.
