Business Analyst (1 Year Contract)

Job Overview

ENOC is looking for a Business Analyst to support the Investments and Corporate Solutions function on investment opportunities, corporate transactions and strategic projects. The position supports transaction evaluation and execution, financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, stakeholder coordination and preparation of management and board-level materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and execution of investment and corporate-solution opportunities.
• Assess potential opportunities against established screening criteria and provide analytical recommendations under management guidance.
• Build, maintain and review financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, LBO and merger models where applicable.
• Support transaction execution from initiation through closing.
• Prepare high-quality descriptive memoranda, management presentations, board materials and related transaction documents.
• Assist with technical, commercial, environmental and legal due-diligence workstreams.
• Coordinate internal working groups and external consultants and advisors.
• Track industry developments, target companies, market events and sector-specific opportunities relevant to ENOC.
• Maintain transaction and evaluation databases and relevant M&A, NDA, risk, synergy and ownership registers.
• Support updates to ENOC's inorganic growth strategy, investment criteria and associated controls.
• Help develop standardized workflows, procedures, manuals and guides for investment evaluation and execution.
• Perform preliminary diligence on transaction counterparties where appropriate and follow departmental controls and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; MBA from a leading university is highly desirable.
• 3Ð5 years of relevant experience, ideally supporting M&A transactions or corporate finance activities.
• Experience in an M&A team, corporate finance function, investment bank, private equity firm, sovereign wealth fund or oil and gas company is preferred.
• Exposure to transactions in the Middle East, North Africa, Africa or Central Asia is advantageous.
• Strong quantitative, financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with FactSet, Bloomberg, Capital IQ or similar databases is desirable.
• Fluent English is essential.
