Senior Manager – Shariah Compliance (UAEN Only)

The Senior Manager – Shariah Compliance supports Emirates Islamic's Shariah governance framework through monitoring, review, analysis, reporting and corrective-action follow-up. The role works under the Head of Shariah Compliance and contributes to assessments of policies, procedures, products and financial activities against applicable requirements and resolutions. It also supports regulatory responses, audits, inspections and staff awareness activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned Shariah-compliance monitoring and reviews using approved checklists and document findings for reporting.
• Support analysis and reconciliation related to profit distribution, financial statements and Zakat calculations.
• Review policies, procedures, new products and services against approved Shariah requirements.
• Support gap assessments of regulatory notices and monitor implementation of HSA and ISSC resolutions.
• Coordinate with departments to track corrective actions and escalate outstanding matters.
• Prepare supporting information for regulatory responses and coordinate evidence for audits and inspections.
• Contribute to staff awareness and training related to Shariah compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and apply appropriate controls when identifying potential non-compliance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Islamic Finance, Shariah or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in finance, advisory, analysis, risk, compliance, assurance or reporting.
• Exposure to control reviews, risk assessments, due diligence or compliance is desirable.
• Direct Shariah-compliance experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to undertake relevant Shariah compliance training and professional development.
