Executive Manager, Financial & Internal Control – (UAE National Only)

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank is hiring an Executive Manager, Financial & Internal Control to strengthen financial control, accounting governance and operational risk practices. The position is responsible for maintaining a robust finance control framework, overseeing accounting closure activities, reviewing reconciliations and supporting effective internal control across banking systems. This is a control-focused role requiring strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the finance control framework and oversee pre- and post-accounting period closure activities.
• Maintain internal account substantiation, ageing analysis and management dashboards, ensuring findings are escalated promptly.
• Review general-ledger mappings, chart-of-account structures, system ledgers and sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee consolidation, inter-company transactions, reconciliations and foreign-currency accounting activities.
• Review new products and processes to ensure accounts are correctly mapped and appropriate edit checks are established.
• Support operational risk processes, RCSAs and internal-control testing while tracking remediation actions.
• Coordinate closure of internal and external audit observations and maintain appropriate audit trails.
• Ensure compliance with applicable AML, KYC, sanctions, regulatory and internal control requirements.

Requirements

• UAE Nationals only; UAE citizen/passport holder eligibility is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar financial control or accounting role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Strong experience in financial accounting, reporting and internal control.
• Good understanding of Basel guidelines, financial tools, quality management and risk.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
