Description
The Test Engineer supports the delivery of reliable digital and business systems by planning, executing, and documenting tests across applications and workflows. The role works with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to detect defects early and confirm that changes meet agreed requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review business requirements and convert them into clear test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user-acceptance testing as appropriate.
- Record defects with reproducible steps, expected results, actual results, and supporting evidence.
- Retest fixes and maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to investigate issues and prioritize risks.
- Maintain test documentation and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in software, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is suitable. Candidates should demonstrate analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, documentation skills, and careful attention to detail. Familiarity with defect-tracking tools, test-management systems, APIs, SQL, or automation frameworks is beneficial where applicable. This vacancy is marked for Emiratisation.
