Senior Sourcing Manager

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing activities for high-spend and critical categories while balancing stakeholder requirements, commercial value and procurement governance. The role acts as an interface between business stakeholders and Procurement, ensuring service needs are translated into effective sourcing strategies and executed in a timely and cost-conscious manner. Responsibilities include developing category strategies, assessing supply and commercial risks, implementing mitigation plans and ensuring sourcing activities comply with internal policies. The Manager will build strong relationships with stakeholders, clarify scopes of work, shape demand and ensure sourcing events reflect genuine business requirements. Detailed supplier and market analysis is required to identify vendor capabilities, cost drivers, supply-chain considerations and market benchmarks. The role also includes spend analysis, external benchmarking and gap analysis to identify opportunities for improved value and competitiveness. As a people leader, the Manager will coach sourcing specialists and procurement executives, allocate projects and ensure compliance with Group processes. Candidates should have a graduate degree, preferably in Finance or Engineering, with an MBA preferred, and at least seven years of procurement experience. UAE and centralized procurement experience is preferred. Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, stakeholder and relationship-management skills are required, along with ERP experience such as Oracle or JD Edwards; SAP Ariba is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the core responsibilities described for the position while maintaining company procedures, service standards and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant internal teams, customers, suppliers or project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and databases and provide updates to management on progress, issues and required actions.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying operational issues, customer requirements and opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

• Graduate degree; Finance or Engineering background preferred
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in a similar role
• UAE and centralized procurement experience preferred
• Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation and analytical skills
• ERP experience required; Oracle or JD Edwards preferred
• SAP Ariba sourcing experience desirable
