Senior Sourcing Manager

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager in Dubai to lead high-spend and critical category sourcing activities while balancing stakeholder requirements with procurement standards. The role acts as an interface between business stakeholders, Procurement and external suppliers, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing, cost management, negotiations, contracts, supplier performance, analytics and team leadership. Direct experience managing the IT and Technology category is specifically required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic sourcing approaches using internal and external market information and category-specific analysis.
• Drive category sourcing strategies and implement risk analysis and mitigation measures.
• Coordinate sourcing activities to achieve competitive total cost of acquisition or ownership while meeting quality and timing requirements.
• Ensure sourcing activity complies with Group procurement policies and procedures.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and proactively plan sourcing activity for assigned categories.
• Clarify business requirements and shape demand so tenders reflect genuine business needs.
• Translate approved scopes into RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and use e-sourcing platforms where appropriate.
• Prepare negotiation plans, lead supplier negotiations and conduct post-negotiation follow-through.
• Develop cost models and purchase-price analysis and negotiate commercial terms with shortlisted suppliers.
• Prepare and manage supplier contracts in coordination with Legal and business units.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain supplier matrices and conduct quarterly vendor performance reviews.
• Analyze procurement spend and supply markets and provide benchmark and gap analysis.
• Manage and coach sourcing specialists and procurement executives and allocate projects across the team.

Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline, preferably Finance or Engineering; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of similar procurement experience.
• UAE and centralized procurement experience preferred.
• Strong influencing, facilitation, project management, analytical and negotiation skills.
• ERP experience is required, preferably Oracle or JD Edwards; SAP Ariba sourcing experience is desired.
• Hands-on IT/Technology category sourcing experience is required.
• Knowledge of software licensing, SaaS, cloud contracts, IT outsourcing, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity and data privacy clauses.
