Description

Provide consultant-level critical care to seriously ill patients in an intensive care environment, combining clinical expertise, timely decision-making and multidisciplinary coordination. The role emphasises safe, evidence-based treatment, risk management and high-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage critically ill patients using appropriate intensive care and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Coordinate treatment plans with intensivists, specialists, nurses and other multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Monitor clinical risks and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure continuity of care across shifts and clinical services.
  • Support teaching, professional development and continuous improvement within the critical care service.

Requirements

  • Education: Recognised medical degree and intensive care/critical care specialty qualification with applicable UAE registration and life support certification
  • Experience: Consultant-level intensive care experience
  • Professional approach: Strong communication, patient focus, teamwork, accurate documentation and commitment to applicable UAE healthcare standards.
